Sassy girl

Courtney and I are sitting at the table while she eats. Kennedy had long since finished her breakfast and was playing in the living room. Both girls were babbling at each other, being a bit sassy. Courtney says, "she being mean mommy." I asked her what we should do about it. Courtney says, "push her down!"

Showing the love for Uncle Eric

We had dinner with some of our dearest friends, the Basse's. We were celebrating Eric's completion of his Immigration training for the police force. The food was yummy (even if I did have issues with my cake) but the company was the best part.

Eric & Courtney

Eric and Kennedy with Courtney close behind, she didn't want to be left out.

Eric couldn't get away from the girls, where ever he was at; that's where they wanted to be. I think David was glad to let someone else be the human jungle gym for the day.

MMMMMMM Good eats mom

Janna and I went to Taekwondo last night. Neither of us ate much before we went and so we came home hungry. On the way home I stopped for gas and Janna started asking for fast food. I told her she could have a chicken sandwich or she could wait until we got home and eat the chili I had made. My smart girl said, "I'll take your food instead."

We sit down to eat and she starts going on and on about how good it is. She asks, "mom, is this homemade? Man it's good. If I was to have a craving this is what I'd want to eat."

We love our band aids

Yesterday Courtney fell and hurt her knee. This morning as I was changing her diaper Kennedy looked over and saw her knee and says, "oh mommy, I need a band aid." I stopped and said, "but Courtney is hurt not you." She then points to the syrup that had dripped onto her pj's at breakfast and said, "see mommy, Kiki's hurt too."

Our girls

Loving my sweet girls.

Sweet and Sassy

Janna needed a hair cut so we took her to Sweet and Sassy. The girl did a great job on her hair, although I have no updated photos yet. Here's one during.

So while she was getting her hair done Courtney & Kennedy were playing on the stage and dancing to the loud music. There was a screen so Janna could watch them dance.

We tried on Tiara's, wings and all kinds of girly things. Basically, everyone had a good time. We found a great new store for the girls to love.

Good pizza

We picked up a pepperoni pizza for lunch yesterday. We are sitting around the table eating and each girls is on her second big slice. Kennedy looks at me and says, "Mommy, this pizza makes me happy." Courtney says, "Yummy mommy, me too."

Second verse, same as the first

This song is redundant since they got stuck on a favorite verse and only sang that. I think it's still cute. I love how Kennedy is drumming the beat for the song.

Cute Kennedy

We made Star shaped red white and blue cookies for Independence Day. While all the girls helped I only got photos of Kennedy. I allowed the babies to use whatever shapes they wanted.

Janna and P-Dub

Princess Willow, AKA P-Dub, returned home to her family this week. Janna handled it all very well and said she would be content to go visit her at their house. So thanks again for letting us animal sit Sowa family!!!

Playing with friends

We went to Incredible Pizza for dinner the other night. We had only been once for a party. We hated the food but had fun playing. Here's some photos of the girls playing.

The girls enjoyed the "children's" section.

Counting

The girls are getting better at counting all the time. Courtney can count higher, but all she would do for the camera is count to five.

Tender moments

Kennedy woke from her nap and we sat in a chair cuddling. We rocked and were completely enjoying the moment together. Then from their room I could hear Courtney stirring and finally start to cry for me to come get her. Before I could react Kennedy say in her most tragic voice, "Mommy, Courtney crying. Oh, I cry too."

How these girls love each other. It does a mothers heart good.
