The eyes have it

I was cuddling up with Kennedy yesterday just looking at her and enjoying the moment.  She looks up at me and smiles.  So we start staring at each other and she tells me, "Me and Janna have blue eyes, Courtney has hazel."  I asked her, "so what color are mine?"  She thought for a moment and replied, "You have mother eyes."

The funny part is Janna used to tell me that very thing when she was little.  I asked her once what it meant to have mother eyes.  Janna said, "mother eyes, you know, they look like love."

Kennedy bit into an orange and said, "yummy mom, this tastes just like juice!"

Janna's baptism

Our sweet girl was baptised today. Her daddy baptised and confirmed her through the priesthood he holds. She is now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's an emotional time for all of us as we see her make this step into the young lady she is becoming. What an amazing thing to witness. We are blessed to have family live close to enjoy this day with us. Her grandpa gave the opening prayer and her grandma gave a wonderful talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

Courtney story

We've been on the lookout for new panties for Courtney. So far no luck. We get to the store today and Courtney tells me in her excited voice, "I'm going to find Dora panties mom, yay!!" I tried to explain to her this wasn't the store where they sold them. She wasn't getting it and said, "it's ok mommy, I find them with my hazel eyes."

Happy 3rd Birthday Kennedy

My sweetest Kennedy, happy birthday my love. It's hard to imagine three years have gone by with you in my life. I have loved every moment of it and feel blessed beyond measure to be your mother. You are a whirlwind of movement and have been since you could walk. You are very shy yet around your family you are the light that brightens our world. You love to sing, to dance and to play with your sisters. You are a joy to all who know you and there is nothing that makes me smile more than your sweet laugh. You enjoy playing with your sisters, whatever they are doing is good for you.

Happy 3rd Birthday Courtney

My sweet baby girl, it's your 3rd birthday today. I love you and am so proud to be your mother. You are a wonder and a treasure and I am eternally grateful you are mine. You are our family "diva" at times, with more attitude than both your sisters combined. Yet you are kind and loving as well. You are quick to hug and give kisses to those you love. You are a bit shy to strangers but warm up quickly. You love to sing and dance. You have started putting together puzzles lately and have gotten very good at it. In fact you get so focused that you forget everything else. You enjoy making up stories and I never tire of hearing them. You always want to help, cooking, cleaning, it doesn't matter, you are willing to do your share.
