Our awful paint - enjoy the laugh

We have talked about how bad the paint is in our new home.  We took some photo's to TRY to show that but I promise they don't do the walls justice.  The rooms are now empty and being painted.  YAY!!!!

This is the bonus room (not our stuff in the photo) the blues and greens are several shades brighter than they appear

This is the Lime Green hallway next to the Tangerine powder room.  It's beyond bright and yes that's two shades of orange you see in that small room.

In case you missed the orange - here is a close up of the corner.  Two shades - they did two shades of orange in there!!

Here is the red room - the white wainscoating on the bottom isn't terrible - but the vividness of the red is not shown to its full brightness in this photo.

Follow up

Courtney has woken up each morning since birthday and reminded me, "I do NOT want a house for my birthday!"

Scheels

There is a sporting goods store here called Scheels and it's huge. In fact in the middle of the store is a Ferris wheel. Needless to say we rode it. David took pics but he and Kennedy rode together so I got this one to share

Yes I rode it and yes I was scared. But Courtney held my hand so I was ok. Janna rode by herself

Janna laughs that there is a "Nugget" casino and hotel here. It's even on Nugget Drive. Jenny will get a kick out of that too :)

New parks

There are a ton of new parks for us to explore. Every chance we get we are playing outside. This is the marina an park next to our apartment. As you can see its pretty and the girls like it.

Birthday worries

Last night was my birthday and we went to Zozo's for dinner. At one point Courtney comes up to me and asks, "mom will there be presents at my birthday?"  She was very concerned because I didn't have any presents and she thought this meant she wouldn't get any.  I assured her she would get presents. 

David overheard and said, "mommy got a present but it's too big to wrap."  She asked what it was and David said a house. Courtney thought for a moment and asked, "you mean like a doll house?"
