a perfect day

Everyone woke up as normal this morning, around 7:30. David slept in until 7:45 (he gets up at 5 am during the week). He headed out to get the paper and stopped to pick some weeds in the yard. Kennedy was sitting at the door waiting for him (i.e. pounding on the door yelling DADDY) so I opened the door to let her go out too. David looks up and says it’s a beautiful day.

So we decide to head over to Northshore Park where we had a wonderful time. The girls went up and down the playground, swinging, sliding and climbing. We walked over to the ducks and played in the sand. We stayed for a few hours and then headed over to the library. We picked up some new books for Janna and went out to lunch. It was an absolutely perfect morning and afternoon. We’re home; daddy and the twins are napping and Janna and I are about to play a board game. I just don’t think life gets any better than this.
