Tiger Woods

Since when did Tiger Woods owe anyone other than his wife an apology? Why does this man have to make a "statement" anyway? He didn't cheat on all of us, he did no wrong to me personally. So why make a public apology? Tiger Woods gave us some great jokes at his expense (name change to Lion Cheetah anyone?) other than that, I don't care what he did!!!!

I'm sick and tired of the media following celebrities as if they were so important to my life.

Attention media personnel: We have a war going on!! Let's hear more about our brave men and women who are fighting in a conflict that is not our own. Where's their personal stories? What are their struggles, what have they overcome?

Stop reporting on a self absorbed, attention seeking adults who crave this spotlight and give me real news. What is going on in our country? Do you have anything good to say about anyone? No? Then SHUT UP!!!

More on haircuts

While I was taking pictures of the girls at breakfast I caught a good one of Janna with Kennedy. Although Kennedy was way more interested in her blueberries, I still thought it was cute.

You'll notice Kennedy's chair is right next to her big sisters. She cried to sit beside her this morning. Who am I to say no to sister love?

Janna wanted to point out she had gotten her hair cut (i.e. trimmed) too.

Haircuts

Courtney has this face she makes when you ask her to "cheese" for a photo. To me, it's priceless.

On the other hand Kennedy has learned a great pout face. Again, I find it priceless.

Children's Musuem

We went with a friend to the Children's Museum on Tuesday. The girls had a wonderful time. We stayed in the toddler section. We enjoyed it so much I might have to get a season pass.

FYI: Courtney's hair was cut by daddy (and later fixed by a stylist) but Kennedy's hadn't been done yet.

There was a section that had baby dolls, water, bathtubs and all kinds of ways you could care for a baby. After a quick bath Courtney decided the baby should stay with her at all times. So she got wrapped in a blanket and carried around the rest of the time. I loved this "double" vision of Courtney.

The last one looks to me like she was saying "Where to Miss?"

Want a book?

Kennedy was feeling needy before nap time. So I wrapped her in a blanket, rocked and sang to her. Courtney sat playing at my feet, although every once in a while she'd come over to pet Kennedy and love on her. Finally I carried Kennedy in to lay her down then went to the restroom before I put Courtney down for her nap. I came out and there was Courtney in their bedroom. She was putting books through the slats in the crib for her sister. Kennedy was already snoring as she had books covering her. Courtney gave me a huge smile and said, "Kiki book." She knows how much Kennedy loves to lay in bed and read so she was helping her out.

Courtney always takes good care of her sisters.

A few photos

We took some photos that I wanted to share. No reason, just thought they were cute. I love the one of Janna and I doing the role reversal. We immediately had to follow it up with our silly faces. The four of us together shows so much of my sweet girls personalities.

100th Day

Wednesday was the 100th day at school. The first graders were asked to decorate a t-shirt with 100 things on it. Since Janna loves the "dum-dum" suckers we decided that would be perfect for her. The only problem came that morning when she put it on. Kennedy got really excited and tried to tear them all off.

I told Janna the only rule about the sucker shirt was that she had to share them. She thought about it and said, "if I give two to each kid in my class how many will I have left?" We sat down and worked out the math problem: counting by two's 20 times. She decided that coming home with 60 was too much so she changed it to 3 each. Then she changed it to 4 each. Each time we worked out the math problem so she would know how many would be gone and how many she would come home with.

Later that day as she comes home from school and I notice she has no suckers on her shirt. Before I could ask her about she tells me she has five in her backpack because she figured out that each of the twenty students (herself included) could have five and it would be even. I was so proud of her to not only figure this out by herself, but to want to share that much!
