Party time

Courtney comes downstairs today looking really cute. So I comment on the outfit and how I liked it. She replies, "I just put this together for Landon's birthday party". 😋

Atlantis Casino/Hotel

We went into the Atlantis today. It's a really pretty building outside and we could see the glass elevators every time we drive by. So today we decided to stop and check it out. We has fun looking around and found this pretty sitting area. The girls Loved the decor!  

Virginia Lake Park

We are completely enjoying our new home. As we explore Reno and the surrounding areas we are continuously finding new fun parks. Today we found a Virginia Lake Park. We saw it online and wanted to go get into the water. Unfortunately you can't get in the water there.  However we enjoyed the playground and climbing the trees.  

Kennedy's first lost tooth

Kennedy was thrilled when her front tooth got "wiggly" and she was beyond ecstatic when it actually fell out last night.  She flew down the stairs to show me.  Funny thing, Courtney treated her like a celebrity.  In fact at one point Kennedy had to use the restroom so she left the tooth with Courtney for safe keeping.  Courtney cradled it in her arms with a loving and serious air.  Kennedy told me she lost "her baby vampire tooth."  When I asked her what made it a vampire tooth she replied, "cause it was sharp and pointy."  I LOVE my Keke - she has such an imagination!!

State report

Janna has been learning the states and capitals. As I've helped her with this I have passed on fun things I learned as a kid. Like spelling Mississippi: M I crooked letter crooked letter I crooked letter crooked letter I hump back hump back I

When we got to Delaware I immediately thought of a scene from the early 90's movie Wayne's World. The two main characters are standing in front of a blue screen as states pop up behind them. As each state comes up they do dun promos for each place.  suddenly Delaware shows up and the characters  stand stock still, look at the camera and say, "hi, we're in Delaware." 😕. Naturally I made Janna watch this scene as I laughed like a lunatic.

When it came time for her class to choose a state for a report she was the first to raise her hand and immediately asked for Delaware. Naturally her teacher was surprised and asked why.  Janna quoted the movie in response.   Her teacher thought this was hilarious and loves the movie too. So she pulled the clip up on YouTube and showed it to the entire class.

Needless to say Janna got the state she wanted and is happily learning all about Delaware.
